Glomac was founded in 1984 by Bob and Gloria Wicks. The company grew progressively to become an important manufacturer of steel products and services, focusing on local industry and building projects.
Major customers soon recognised Glomac's commitment to product quality and the business then benefitted from long term frame agreements with key clients. The reins were then handed over to the founders' son Spencer Wicks, who continued to run the business successfully, working closely with his long-term friend and colleague, Peter Knight.
In February 2020, Spencer sold Glomac to EBC Enterprises - a holding company owned by a team of four engineer entrepreneurs. Under this new ownership, the company continues its long established commitment to product quality and rapid response, and benefits from new investment in people, equipment and facilities.
The new directors bring a wealth of expertise and experience to this thriving company, enabling Glomac to achieve even higher standards of safety, reliability, design and project management.
